Reviews

I’m an avid movie and TV watcher and I love the art of filmmaking and acting. Because of my faith, I try to watch films that are uplifting and with good content and occasionally, I like to review the things that I watch. I’m by no means a stuffy shirt film critic but I do have a certain taste and things that I like. Very often, this has to do with a love of storytelling but sometimes it’s a mixture of that and aesthetic, which to be honest, isn’t all that “high-brow.” I’m an artist and a writer and my desire, going into a movie or show, is to be entertained. You may or may not agree with my opinions on different films and that is perfectly fine. I love discussing these things so feel free to message me or comment on my entries.

I also, on rare occasion, read books and review them. I’m very picky when it comes to reading material and whatever I pick up usually has themes and subject matter similar to whatever my current obsession is. Sometimes I go through long dry spells where I don’t feel like reading anything but then I’ll suddenly get bit by “the bug” and buy a bunch of books on Half.com or I’ll go home from Barnes & Noble with a handful. This usually hits without warning and can last anywhere from a month to 6 months. There’s no real way to know whether a book I’ve bought is good or a dud, so, I’ll either feel impacted by it or have a lot of criticisms with it, so, occasionally, those will show up here as well. Just as I said, the reading comes and goes so, although these may pop up, it’ll be a lot less often than the movies and TV reviews.

I will always mark spoilers under a “read more” tag and also mark them with [spoilers] so that any revealing information is fully contained. That way, if you haven’t seen the movie or show yet, you can avoid it but also, if you have seen it, you can enter into a more indepth discussion about the subject with me, if you like. I will also rate reviews based on the movie and show rating and content. Here is a guideline based upon the MPAA rating system.
